Sir Henry Baker, 2nd Baronet

Vice-Admiral Sir Henry Loraine Baker, 2nd Baronet CB (3 January 1787 – 2 November 1859) was born in Nancy, France to Sir Robert Baker, 1st Baronet and Dinah Hayley. He participated in the attack on Samana, Santo Domingo in 1807 and fought at the Battle of Anholt on 27 March 1811. He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath on 4 June 1815. With his father's death he succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Baker on 4 February 1826. Baker became a Rear-Admiral on 6 November 1850 and Vice-Admiral on 9 July 1857.

Family

On 27 June 1820 Baker married Louisa Anne Williams, daughter of William Williams and Anne Rashleigh. Henry and Louisa had a son Henry Williams Baker
